Inside David Beckham's Car Collection: These Are His Coolest Cars
You've heard of Bend It Like Beckham, but what about "Drive It Like Beckham"? The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star, England captain, and one of the world's best-ever soccer players is also an avid motorist. Let's take a look inside Beckham's $2.7 million car collection.
2015 Jaguar F-Type Project 7
This Jaguar, bought for just $165,000, is one of the cheapest cars Beckham has ever owned. Launched in 2013 by Jaguar, the F-Type is a performance car available as a soft-top coupe or convertible (Beckham's version). Beckham reportedly bought the car as a family Christmas gift, but it isn't the first Jaguar he's owned. Coincidentally, the side of the car is emblazoned with a "7," which was also Beckham's shirt number at Manchester United and while playing for England.

While we're sure the matching 7s are just a coincidence, Jaguar's performance enhancements on the F-Type are most definitely intentional. The Project 7 comes standard with a 5.0L turbocharged V8 engine capable of producing 567 horsepower and a top speed of 186 mph. It has a fixed rear spoiler and quad exhaust, and the body is made entirely of aluminum.
1988 Aston Martin Vantage
British classics for a British classic, right? Beckham loves this 1988 Aston Martin Vantage, powered by a 5.3L V8 engine. Producing 428 horsepower, the Vantage is all about a serene driving experience. Beckham acquired this convertible Aston Martin in 2003, one of only 78 ever made. The car was his pride and joy, and he even had the car shipped to Spain when he left Manchester United to play for Real Madrid.

Replacing the DB6 grand tourer, the Vantage was designed as a larger, more modern-looking vehicle that, in some ways, mirrored the Ford Mustang. Aston Martin produced six series of the Vantage for 20 years between 1969 and 1989. The 428 horsepower engine roared from 0 to 60 in just 5.2 seconds and had a top speed of 168 mph. Built with the "X-Pack" engine, Beckham's Vantage has a gorgeous red interior and exterior and a beige leather interior.
2006 Lamborghini Gallardo
While not the latest and greatest Lamborghini, Beckham's 2006 Gallardo was purchased to replace his Murcielago. When Beckham needs to be somewhere quickly, he'll likely take the Gallardo—after all, it has a breakneck top speed of 202 mph and can go from 0 to 60 in 4.3 seconds.
2006 Lamborghini Gallardo (Cont'd)
The Lamborghini Gallardo was the second car released under Lamborghini's parent company, Audi. Beginning in 2003, the Gallardo is named after a breed of fighting bull from the 18th century, meaning "gallant". An extraordinary 5L V10 engine with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission powers it. It was one of Lamborghini's best-selling models, with over 14,000 sales worldwide, before the Gallardo was replaced by the Huracan in 2014.
2022 Maserati MC20
This 2022 Maserati MC20 is next in Beckham's car lineup. It was designed with David Beckham as part of a multi-car partnership between Maserati and the soccer star. Maserati liked Beckham's penchant for design, style, and finesse, so they offered the star a deal (and his car) to collaborate. The result was the 2022 Maserati MC20, priced at $215,995.

Available as a two-door coupe or a hard-top convertible, the MC20's twin-turbo V8 produced a lightning-fast 621 horsepower and a top speed of just over 200 mph. It will go from 0 to 60 in around 3 seconds. Beckham and Maserati have since partnered on other vehicles, such as the 2023 Maserati Furioserie DB Essentials Collection, where Beckham had a direct hand in the design process for both the interior and exterior.
2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider
You'll notice that much of Beckham's car collection is about speed and power. Nothing better represents that than the Formula One-inspired McLaren MP4-12C Spider. This twin-turbo V8 behemoth was bought by Beckham in 2013 as a limited edition, black, and with F1 technology inside, the speedster went farther, faster than one of Beckham's infamous cross-field passes.

Because it was designed by McLaren (who achieved a land speed record in 1998, reaching 240 mph), the MP4-12C breezed past 200 mph with ease, topping out at around 205 mph. It produced 616 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. The carbon fiber body contained a 4.0L turbocharged V8 engine. Only on the market for two years, between July 2012 and August 2014, McLaren still sold 3,400 units, one of which was to Becks.
2010 Bentley Continental SuperSport
Taking a break from Beckham's speed-filled collection, we present the 2010 Bentley Continental SuperSport. This refined, luxurious sedan was given to Beckham by his wife, Victoria, to "cheer him up" during his ill-fated stint at LA Galaxy in the early 2010s. Notably, the car was beige—a departure from his normal black or grey color scheme.

The luxurious sedan was not the last of its kind in Beckham's garage. However, it might have started his fascination with the Bentley brand. Its huge W12 engine produces an astonishing 700 horsepower and has a top speed of 205 mph. It's reported that Victoria paid over $300,000 for the car—with those specs, we're starting to see why.
2023 McLaren 720S
Maybe Beckham's rule for McLaren ownership is "n+1", with the right answer being that "n" is the number of McLarens you currently have. Beckham's newest purchase in his collection is the 2024 McLaren 720S. Forever a patron of British car companies, Beckham upgraded his 12C to this 4.0L, 710 horsepower behemoth. Did you know his son, Brooklyn Beckham, also has a McLaren? A P1. The "McLarens" seem like a natural fit if they ever need to change their name.
2023 McLaren 720S (Cont'd)
The McLaren 720S is one of the latest sports cars produced by the company, which ended production of the 720S in 2023 and replaced it last year with the 750S. Built out of modified carbon fiber, the car is lighter than its predecessor, the 650S. It features McLaren's brand-new M480T engine and a proactive suspension that uses accelerometers and pressure sensors to adjust the suspension electronically. All of this gives McLaren an astonishing top speed of 212 mph.
2010 Bentley Mulsanne
Beckham loved his gifted Bentley so much that he bought a Bentley Mulsanne for $310,000. The Mulsanne was Bentley's flagship car throughout its 10-year run, until 2020 when it ceased production. During those 10 years, Bentley had produced just under 8,000 units. It had a massive 6.75L V8 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission, producing 505 horsepower and capable of a top speed of 190 mph.
2010 Bentley Mulsanne (Cont'd)
David Beckham is in very good company as a Mulsanne owner. Bentley produced one for Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee, complete with veneered picnic tables in the rear cabin and gold stitching in the headrests. A team of 298 people designs each Bentley Mulsanne, and it takes 400 hours to produce, with over 136 hours dedicated to the interior. The Mulsanne was also the last of Bentley's cars to feature a 6.75L engine.
Rolls Royce Ghost
Another luxury sedan in Beckham's garage is his beloved Rolls Royce Ghost. The full-sized sedan has been in production since 2010 and was owned by Beckham not long after. It is customized to suit the star's needs. The standard-sized model is one of his most expensive sedans, costing over $340,000.
Rolls Royce Ghost (Cont'd)
The Rolls-Royce Ghost is based on the BMW L6 platform and features a 6.6L V12 engine. It is available in standard length (129.7 inches) or Extended Wheelbase (136.4 inches). The Ghost has a top speed of 155 mph, but it's not a car built for speed, with a curb weight of over 5,000 lbs.
Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe
The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe is one of Beckham's most prized possessions—the convertible he and Victoria are often seen driving around in. Purchased in 2008, the Drophead Coupe features customizations such as the 24-inch Savini-designed wheels, which are painted black to match the car. Additionally, Beckham embroidered his "23" shirt number into the car's headrests.
Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe (Cont'd)
The Phantom Drophead Coupe was first produced in 2007 and discontinued in 2016, but not before several were used for the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony in London. Beckham's Drophead Coupe was available as a 6-speed or 8-speed automatic and produced 453 horsepower. Like the Ghost, it was not built for speed but had a top speed of 155 mph.
Beckham's Past Cars
Though David Beckham's current fleet may be eye-watering, the vehicles he used to own were equally impressive—except maybe for those cars of his youth.
Honda Prelude
It's reported that David Beckham's first car was a loaner vehicle from Honda. As part of a deal with Manchester United, every player on the team received a Prelude for a year. Beckham followed that loaner up by buying his own car at 19.
1994 Volkswagen Golf
Holding on to this car for 31 years, David Beckham bought his 1994 VW Golf in '94, with likely one of his first major paychecks from Manchester United. Beckham's '94 Golf was a 2.0L fuel-injected SOHC 4-cylinder engine, producing 115 horsepower and could do 0 to 60 in 9.4 seconds. The thing was practical but still managed an impressive top speed of 118 mph.
1994 Volkswagen Golf (Cont'd)
Volkswagen's Golf line has enjoyed wonderful longevity. VW began producing the Golf in 1974, and it's still being produced today. Beckham's Golf lasted for 31 years (although he probably stopped driving it some 20-25 years prior) before being sold at a charity auction for the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital charity. It sold for an undisclosed price.
Porsche 911 Carrera
The Porsche 911 Carrera was reportedly one of Beckham's first-ever supercar purchases, which he bought in 1997. Delivered in the Zenith Blue color, the Carrera took Beckham and his then-girlfriend Victoria around Manchester and the UK in the late 1990s. The 911 Carrera was also marketed as the 993 Turbo, which Becks had.
Porsche 911 Carrera (Cont'd)
Becks' 993 Turbo had a 3.6L twin-turbocharged engine that could top 200 mph and accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 2.3 seconds. The 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera was the last 911 produced by Porsche with an air-cooled engine. Porsche switched to a water-cooled system in 1998 when it released the Porsche 996.
Land Rover Defender
Forever the patron of British brands, Beckham purchased a black Land Rover Defender 110. The family reportedly keeps it in London to ferry their youngest daughter to and from school and to drive between their home in London and a holiday home in the Cotswolds. Beckham also has a green Land Rover Defender with a soft top.
Land Rover Defender (Cont'd)
The Land Rover Defender, launched in 1948, is an iconic British vehicle. Originally named the Land Rover One Ten, it was intended to be a British Jeep equivalent. The Beckham family's Land Rover collection includes a five-door Defender 110, a three-door Defender, and a Defender 90.
1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello
Like Eddie Van Halen, David Beckham also owned a Ferrari 550 Maranello—a Christmas gift from his wife, Victoria, after their wedding. Inspired by the Ferrari Daytona from the 1970s, the Maranello came with a 5.5L V12 engine that produced 478 horsepower. Beckham customized the Maranello with the license plate "DVB". The car was a gorgeous silver.
Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
Another Ferrari in Beckham's garage was a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. Purchased in 2011 for over $300,000, Beckham's 612 Scaglietti was powered by a 5.7L V12 engine that produced 533 horsepower, rushing to a top speed of 199 mph. If Beckham needed to get up to 60 clicks in a hurry, he could manage it in under 4 seconds with the Scaglietti.
Jaguar XJ
A lover of Jaguars, Beckham also purchased the Jaguar XJ in 2011. Perhaps he was looking for something more refined than his extensive supercars but not as big and bulky as the Rolls Royces and Bentleys he owns. The XJ fits that bill perfectly, featuring a 5.3L V12 engine that propelled the Jag to between 155 and 174 mph and produced 340 to 575 horsepower.
Beckham's Wrecked Audi RS6
Beckham owned a high-performance compact car in the early 2010s, the Audi RS6, which was involved in a high-speed crash with a Mitsubishi Colt in the UK. The 5.0L 6-speed automatic has a top speed of 155 mph, but Beckham's speed wasn't considered a factor in the crash.
Beckham's Six Month Driving Ban
It doesn't matter who you are: The law is the law. In May 2019, David Beckham was given a six-month ban from driving after being caught using his phone behind the wheel after being photographed doing so by a member of the public. He was fined almost $1,000 in addition to court costs.
